The Red-bellied Fruit Dove (Ptilinopus greyi)

The Red-bellied Fruit Dove (Ptilinopus greyi) is found in the lowland forests of New Caledonia, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, and is considered common throughout most of its range. Males and females of this ridiculously coloured bird are very similar in appearance – though the belly patch is slightly smaller on the female.
