With long, pointed crests, the crested pigeon (left) and spinifex pigeon both bear a striking resemblance to Alfalfa from "The Little Rascals." While the spinifex is smaller, both of these pigeons bear colors that help them blend well in their environment. Found throughout Australia, the crested pigeon prefers open habitats, while the spinifex prefers arid, rocky regions.
