Golden pheasant Chrysolophus pictus
The male golden pheasant sports his namesakes golden head and lower back as well as gorgeous read underbody and orange and black striped neck. He has an iridescent green-blue patch on his back and some long red and brown tail feathers.
Golden pheasants are polygamous and lay up to 12 eggs every breeding season. These eggs take up to 23 hatches.
