Mother Swan Passes Away After Her Eggs Were Smashed

Mother Swan passed away recently in Greater Manchester. The affection of a mother is one of the purest forms of love. A mother will do anything to protect her child. There are innumerous accounts of heroic tales where a mother has risked her own life for the sake of her child. 

This characteristic of a mother can be witnessed not only in humans but also among the animal kingdom. Recent news about mother octopuses dying while protecting their babies has gone viral. Thus, it is very much understandable that a mother will be pained to see her children get hurt. Something similar happened to a mother swan in Bolton. The swan had recently laid her eggs and was nesting them. She seemed very much happy and excited to see her newborns hatch out of the eggs. Unfortunately, that was not going to happen.

Little did the poor swan know that her dreams would become a nightmare soon. A group of yobs did the unthinkable act of destroying all her eggs. They mercilessly hurled stones, bricks, and rocks at her nest. This made the mother swan very much afraid and concerned.

She desperately tried to save her babies from the sudden attack. Despite her best efforts, the poor swan could not do much. To her horror, she saw all her eggs get smashed. The attack was so brutal that none of the eggs were able to be retrieved. This attack made the swan heartbroken.
