“They’re so cute when they’re little—like little tennis balls with legs,” the photographer shared his first feeling about goslings.
On a night in May, Digout was sitting on the riverbank when he found the mother goose with 16 babies, which was actually more than usual. But the next day, when he returned, he was surprised that the number of the goslings got bigger. 25 on one day and 30 on the next. The number of baby geese even rose to 47! It was not hard to understand the mom was taking responsibility for her mate’s children as well.
