Snowflakes are one of the true wonders of the world. With tiny designs made of ice that are so individually unique, so detailed, and so spectacular, it’s hard to believe that these happen naturally.
Photographer Alexey Kljatov captures these beautiful ice creations close-up. He displays many of his snowflake photos on Flickr.
Kljatov says, “I capture snowflakes at the open balcony of my house, mostly on the glass surface, lighted by LED flashlight from the opposite side of the glass, and sometimes in natural light, using dark woolen fabrics as background.”
These images bring a different world of snowflakes into view. Enjoy some of his stunning work!
