The speckled tanager (Ixothraupis guttata) is a medium-sized passerine bird.

When it’s time for breeding, female speckled tanagers will build their nest in trees. This nest is small and in the shape of a cup. They then lay their eggs in and incubate them for around 13-14 days. Female birds will feed the chicks for 14-18 days, until they’re fully-fledged.
