Rare Genetic Mutation Makes This ‘Chimera’ Kitten One Of The Cutest Accidents Ever

This gorgeous kitten is from Argentina and is so rare that you just can’t take your eyes off her!  She is actually classified as a genetic chimera.

The term chimera originally came from Greek mythology of a fire-breathing woman with the head of a lion and the body of a goat! Now, unlike this creature, Quimera is a beautiful kitty with one side of her face being totally black and the other side being totally tabby! She has definitely taken over the internet in a very big way!

The last time I saw something like this was an old episode of Star Trek “Let That Be Your Last Battlefield” with Frank Gorshin and Lou Antonio who are half white and half black.

Back down on earth, Quimera is a Genetic Chimera which is a very rare occurrence in which a single organism is made up of different cells.  With animals, it’s the merging of multiple eggs.

With that said, the black side of her face is home to the most sparkling, gorgeous blue eye in total contrast to her other eye which is Tabby Yellow!  Her color splits right down the middle to her legs where the colors then reverse sides.

This lovely little girl is totally unaware of her increasing celebrity status and just goes about her life as a perfectly normal, happy kitty! She has attracted cat lovers from all over the world and her pictures are being spread around like wildfire.
