The oldest tree in the world — it is 9,500 years old and grows in Sweden!

Scientists, however, are divided. There are those who believe that the title of Earth’s oldest tree should be awarded to the cypress which grows in Chile and is more than 5,400 years old and 4 meters in diameter. The tree is known as Gran Abuelo (great-grandfather).
